My advice for you for next year for the blogging assignment
I think 6-10 books is a lot unless you read small paged books. I work at my own pace. I can be pretty slow. What's worst is that I'm really picky so I change my book too much. But other than that I think this blogging is good. It helps you see what's your strength and weakness.
Thoughts on blogging
I think blogging is great. It's better than writing on paper and handing it in that's boring. You express yourself more through blogs and it's a good strategy to encourage you to read. It made me want to read and try out all different types of books to see what really works for me. What interest me more. I zone out really easily and lose interest. Blogging helped keep me interested because I wrote what I thought and felt while reading.

My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 367
Anna gives Kate a bone marrow transplant. Her father rewarded her for giving Kate a gift. I'm surprised. Kate's white blood cell count begins to rise, proof of engraftment. But that doesn't last.. So they end up taking Anna to a child psychiatrist. They prepare a report giving an expert opinion about psychological harm Anna might suffer if her sister dies. It's crazy how there's probably no hope anymore. Just prepare for the worst..

My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 74
Chemo worked but now there's a tumor. The cancer metastasized. Dr. Chance in other words is trying to say that they should prepare for the worst. Sara (the mother) talks to the father about having another child. Why another child? To replace the one that's dying? The mentality of this women. It's a good thing the father doesn't agree it doesn't seem right. If this is her reaction to her dying child what will be her reaction once it actually happens?
My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 186
Kate doesn't know that her little sister hired a lawyer! The mother (Sara Fitzgerald) doesn't keep the peace and bothered Anna, so Julia doesn't either. Sara could end up losing Anna if she doesn't corporate. Her mother wants her to call off the lawsuit and keeps telling her she'll end up all alone without no mom no nothing. Anna is feeding into it after all she is only 13 years old. She scared she'll have no family again or that everyone in her family will end up hating her and that she could lose everything she'd grown to love and the people around her. She needs the lawyers to really defend her because she doesn't know how to yet. The mom is taking advantage. She can't get away with this.
My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 207
Mr. Chance tells everyone that Kate isn't strong enough to go through anymore stuff. She's too weak she's going to die. Mr. Chance says that the mom (Sara Fitzgerald) keeps pushing for the kidney transplant. Julia says you can't blame her logic, Kate's going to die anyway without the transplant so why not go for it? But then Mr. Chance says it involves major surgery for the other daughter. Putting Anna's health at risk for a procedure that's not necessary for her seems a little cavalier. Anxiety must be through the roof with this family.
My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 313
Anna gets told they don't know if they're still petitioning a judge for medical emancipation. She wonder why they wouldn't. The lawyer says the only way I can fight for you is if you can prove to everyone that you can fight for yourself when I walk away. Since Anna's still a kid everyone keeps trying to make her feel sorry or convince her into helping out Kate. That's going to make the lawyers not help her. So she has to stand her grown and fight for this and want this more than they want this.
My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 423
The end..
Campbell says they're are not going to VETO the petition. Julia is as ripped up about this case and what it's done to Anna as is Campbell, expect Anna put it out there on display for everyone to see. Anna said that Kate wanted to die because Anna said she wanted to stop being the donor and Kate said "thanks". She's probably tired of constantly being in the hospital and not ever having the chance to live a normal life. It's sad because it's true. Not once did she experience a normal life. Now the crazy crazy thing happens that has me so MINDBLOWN. Anna ends up in a car accident and her head hit the window with great force. It caused a fatal head injury. A respirator is keeping her breathing right now, but not showing any indications of neurological activity.. She's brain dead.. Her organs go to Kate and she ends up living..
My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 58
"THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND AND PROVIDENCE PLANTATIONS. FAMILY COURT FOR PROVIDENCE COUNTY. IN RE: ANNA FITZGERALD, A.K.A JANE DOE. PETITON FOR MEDICAL EMANCIPATION" UH-OH. Words out that Anna is sueing her parents. Jane doe isn't Jane doe anymore. Her mom obviously goes crazy over this but not her dad. Her dad actually understands and sees it from her point of view. It's possible that the mother cares about Kate more than Anna because she didn't hesitate to get angry and convince Anna to stop this. But will Anna let her self be decieved ?¿
My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 40
Just when things couldn't get worst. Kates gotten worst. Cancers getting worst but she doesn't seem sad or scared? Putting on a brave face. Anna is sort of regretting going with that lawsuit. She wants to save her sister she doesn't want her to die. At the heat of the moment I think she would save her no matter what even if she is tired of constantly going to the hospital doing this and that. If she doesn't I can't imagine what will happen next. Will her parents disown her? Will they hate her? Will they regret having her because they thought she could save her sister???
My Sister's Keeper By Jodi Picoult
Pg 19
Just started and so far I'm pretty intrigued by this book. These parents have a sick daughter (Kate) with acute promyelocytic leukemia. She was diagnosed when she was 2 still has it and is now 16. When they found out she had that they had (Anna) on purpose so that she could give her sister bone marrow or blood or anything so that she could live. She's 13 and feels like she's sick when she's clearly not. Bring a child into the world just to suffer ? I can visualize this all in my mind. My body, skin feels frozen and shaky just thinking of constantly being at the hospital. Having blood this and that taken out of me like some human electric source I'd sue too. Anna is trying to get a lawyer to look at her case. But because she's 13 is that even possible ?

The Girl In The Park By Mariah Fredericks
Pg 218
This book had a twist it turns out that the person who killed Wendy was their very own teacher, Mr. Farell. Mr. Farell was very nerdy during his school years and when girls finally got to notice him he was an adult. So he took advantage of that with Wendy and kept it on the low. Wendy wanted to make a big scene and wanted everyone to know what was going on. She was willing to tell his wife about them and I guess he panicked and choked her until she couldn't breathe anymore. Thinking about it gives me the chills. Everyone reacts to everything differently it's crazy. I can understand he was scared and didn't want to destroy his family but that wasn't necessary and now he's going to be living in a jail cell.

The Girl In The Park By Mariah Fredericks
Pg 160
Finally building up the courage Rain goes to Sasha to find out if she gave Nico her E pin. That's what the reporter told her, that they found an E pin. Sasha didn't say anything exactly, but it seemed like she was protecting Nico. Afterwards she sees Rima (Sasha's Bestfriend) she always thought Nico was a scum, a total user. She admits that Sasha gave him her E pin. Once she found out she went straight towards the police and they had him arrested and questions now they're just waiting on the DNA test to come back and know for sure. The next day coming back to school Rain had it pretty rough because Sasha and Rima knew it was her who went to the police even though her name wasn't mentioned. That same day the news reporter called her telling her not to tell anyone where she got that information from, the reporter said silver pin. Which threw her off because those E pins are black and gold. Like is there a possible chance that Nico's not guilty?¿ He's the only person who would have a reason to kill Wendy. Could there be someone else out there with another motive?
The Girl In the Park By Mariah Fredericks
Pg 116
Rain (the narrator) thinks that it wasn't some stranger who killed Wendy. The day of the funeral she examined everyone and kept an eye out for Nico. Later on that day she saw the newspaper and was surprised at the stuff they wrote about Wendy "Who was Wendy? Life of a party girl ends in violence". She went looking for the reporter and found something out. The reporters boyfriend is the cop that's on the case and they found something in the crime scene. A E pin not everyone has it only 4 get one a year and everyone has theirs except Sasha she has 2. Sasha refused to talk to the police when they were interviewing people and her boyfriend was Nico. I'm guessing she probably gave him one. Rain had a conversation with Mr. Farrell saying there was something always off about Nico and his temper seemed to always get the best of him. Could he have gotten angry and tired of Wendy and hurt her?

The Girl In The Park By Mariah Fredericks
Pg 60
This book gets more and more intense I really can't put it down. They finally find Wendy. She was found dead at the Central Park near the kids playground hidden near a bush. Everyone is all scared because that means their kids aren't safe. Supposively the police said a lot of crimes have recently happened at that spot. But the narrator thinks otherwise. It makes no sense why Wendy would leave the party and go to Central Park at night. It doesn't add up. Everyone is a suspect. The narrator thinks that Nico the guy Wendy was so crazy about would know. She was so obsessed with him and he probably got annoyed and did something to her. It's crazy to think that way but it's very possible.

The Girl In The Park By Mariah Fredericks
Pg 16
So far I really like this book it's so interesting because it ends up turning into a crime scene. Stuff like this has always been interesting to me. The narrator ex-best friend ends up never making it home after a party. Her mom remembered her and called for information but she wasn't much help. Since they're not best friends anymore. She starts remembering what she was like when she came to school for the first time and how wild she was. She tried really hard to fit in. She was from Long Island not from the city like everyone else in that school was. Supposedly she tried too hard to be notice and she was really rude. Nobody really liked her. When her mom asked the narrator a bunch of questions she felt like anything could have happened to her because of the way Wendy was. This is day 1 of Wendy not being found.
